I WENT TO BULL MOOSE AND ALL I GOT WAS THIS LOUSY BUSTED CONSOLE*

*Please note that console can be used interchangeably with handheld video game system (you know, like a 3DS or Vita.)

There's nothing worse than plugging in your brand new video game console and discovering that it doesn't work.  We can sympathize.  We also want to get you back into the action as soon as possible and with as little hassle as possible so we've provided you this handy little list so you can get back to driving that spec C STI in Gran Turismo 6 or leading Kirby on an underwater adventure in Kirby & the Rainbow Curse

In order to exchange your console we'll need the following:

1. Receipt.  If you've lost this, no worries.  We can look it up on your Bull Moose Frequent Buyer Card.  Please note that returns for defective new consoles must be made within sixty (60) days of the date on your receipt (or frequent buyer card.)

2.  The console and all the accessories it came with in the original packaging (note that if the console came bundled with physical copies of games we'll need those as well.) The serial numbers on the console and box must match.      

Ok.  You've got all that.  Now what?

Stop by any Bull Moose location (it doesn't have to be the one where you purchased the console in question) with the above items.  We will exchange your defective console for the same make of console of equal value.  Be aware that some manufacturers create limited edition versions of their consoles.  In some cases, we may not be able to exchange your console for the exact same edition.  If this is the case we will give you the option of exchanging the console for one of equal specifications (in other words, we can't get you another 500GB Call of Duty Xbox One but we can exchange it for a regular 500GB Xbox One) or exchanging it for a console of greater or lesser value. If you exchange the console for one of lesser value you will receive the difference in store credit. If you exchange for one of greater value you will be responsible for paying the difference at the time of the exchange. If you absolutely must have your special edition console it might be a good idea to give the console's customer service line a call and see if they're able to fix it under warranty.  If the defective item in question isn't the console itself but a cable, controller, bundled accessory, or power supply let us know.  We may be able to replace it with a new or (at the customer's discretion) used part .

A few caveats:

When we refer to a "defective" new console we are referring to defects due to the manufacturing process.  Consoles that are visibly damaged due to being abused or being mishandled (like falling off a table or having a soda spilled on it) do not fall under our return guidelines.  We also reserve the right to refuse returns of items that smell strongly of tobacco smoke and/or have been exposed to foreign material (including, but not limited to: paint, sticker residue, bodily fluids, food, cleaning products, etc.)

If your returned console contains a stuck game please let us know so we can rescue and return it to you. 

And, finally:

If you feel your console was damaged in the shipping process (in other words, it was visibly damaged as soon as you opened the box) please return the console as soon as possible.  If you are unable to return the console right away (within 24 hours) please call the Bull Moose you purchased the console from so we have a record of the defect and can start the process of securing you a replacement console.
